These are the basic levels, which may slightly change nearer to the event.

Lindy Hop - Beginners

If you've never had the opportunity to learn the Lindy (Savoy Style) then this is the perfect class for you. Starting at the beginning is not about how well you dance but often how much you know. This is the level for learning the basic vocabulary of the dance and is intended for those of you who may have little or no experience with Swing Dancing or Dance in general.

Lindy Hop - Improvers

"Improvers" means comfort zone. In other words you're comfortable with your basics ie: Swing Out, Lindy Turn, Lindy Circle. But that's not all. If you feel that you are familiar with the basics of lead and follow, Improvers is where you'll want to be. Emphasis will be placed largely on technique and of course building that ever-important vocabulary.

Lindy Hop - Intermediate

You have been dancing for 6 to 12 months. You are proficient and confident with your basics and you are able to take on technical information and apply it within the lesson. You have discovered that you like Lindy Hop and you want to get good. This is a good place to be

 Lindy Hop - Intermediate/Advanced

Stuff starts to get hard around this level. The teaching pace will be much quicker and there is an expectation of at least 1-2 years experience. We plan to make all levels fun and informative so please don't jump to this level if you know your not ready. The teachers and the pupils always know. Expect to get lots of variations on basic steps with even more technique and vocab. thrown in.

 Lindy Hop - Advanced

There will be no auditions for Advanced. If you are good enough for this class you know it. If you are not then you will soon understand the meaning of pain. This level is the boot camp of Camp Savoy, so be prepared for the toughest and most challenging classes you'll have this year. Promise. (Sweat towel and lots of water recommended).
